Canst thou, O cruel! Say collude I not,
Thou seest my hands are not collusion stained.
The evidence that witches’ hunters sought
Is, like the proof of witches, unobtained.
O! sink me not into a wat’ry tomb!
O! tie me not at stake, keep me unflamed!
As hunters numbers rise in angry sum,
Becomes it quite transparent I was framed.
Report, ye may, with wicked fraudulence,
That in my kitchen boils witch’s brew;
But I do know thy means of opulence
Is payment thou doth crookedly accrue.
     And thus, this witching curse on me you damn,
     Opposes law, and is a total scam!
