Donnet: “Kim Jong shall not persuade me I am old”

February 12, 2019 by AJ Smith

Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me "old," when I would NEVER call him "short and fat?" Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 12, 2017

Kim Jong shall not persuade me I am “old,”
Though I confess, his insults me confuse,
As I such names to him have NEVER told,
In spite of two critiques that I could use:
“Diminutive” is thus far unexclaimed
From me to him, and my heart’s solemn vow
is his “obesity” to keep unnamed,
Despite the ink in which appear they now.
Oh well, it seems my efforts are in vain;
For his affections did I hard persist.
But poison tongue did enmity maintain,
While poison lips with hatred’s curse me kissed.
     Yet hope remains, by wise Pandora penned,
     That maybe someday he will me befriend!
